Working with Studio Jute

Updated: Jun 9, 2022

We have had a few enquiries recently from people wanting to find out more about how hiring our Isle of Wight based Interior Design service works.

For many it may be their first time working with a designer so are unsure what to expect, or are nervous about reaching out- please don’t be! We love hearing about your projects.

After you’ve made an enquiry, we will get back to you to arrange a site consultation, ideally in person, but can be done remotely. This is completely free, and for both parties a crucial step in seeing how we might work together.

After the initial consultation we will put together a quote based on your project with clear fixed payment details and schedule, not all projects are able to be completed in one phase due to time or cost, so here we outline the phases.

Once you are happy to go ahead, we get to work on your concept design. This is where information is gathered about the building, end users and lots more in between to create a look and feel for your project.

We will then meet for a presentation of this work and get feedback.

The next step is a detailed drawing package, including any bespoke joinery, electrical plans and lighting specification. This part is invaluable for all involved to see the bigger picture and keep the project running to schedule.

Then we come to the fun part, (which is, possibly, where some believe Interior Design begins!) of choosing the finishes. Every detail, surface finish and material will be covered and presented to you as a rendered visual, making it super easy to visualise your completed project.

To complete the service, you will be given a full package covering everything we have worked through, from mood boards to drawings and an itemised list of products suggested. This allows you to implement the design at your own pace.

In addition to the design service Studio Jute also offer project management, liaising with trades to complete the vision.

If you would like to find out more, or have any questions please get in touch here.
